Excavation and Cable Laying
From the designated point of connection (POC) location/s to the site boundary, our teams of skilled, competent and accredited operatives will excavate, backfill and reinstate all surface types, whether across agricultural fields or a busy road in the capital city under the watchful eye of Transport for London.
Pulling cables either into a ducted system or direct lay into a trench up to 132kV is a task undertaken both onsite and offsite by skilled operatives and often in unison with a jointers attendance, all data and dimensions required for the assets adoption are recorded and processed by the back office.
Substation Installation
From the creation of a substation plinth to full build of a brick building, The ICP can carry out all aspects of the work to any adopting authority standard. Working to our approved construction drawings, a full substation fit-out will take place with installation of switchgear, cable terminations, earthing, protection and telecommunication units along with any small power and lighting requirements.

Low and High Voltage Cable Jointing
Competent, qualified jointing teams authorised by adopting bodies will attend to all service, low voltage, high voltage jointing works up to 132kV.
Riser and Lateral Installation
Internal cables can be installed with adoption by an IDNO or as part of a BNO network, cables can be installed to the individual cutout locations or bulk supplies. Specialist, skilled teams will be deployed to undertake these more challenging installations to ensure The ICP quality of installation standards are met.
TBS – Temporary builders supply
Do you need an electrical connection to enable building works to proceed on your site before a new connection can be installed to accommodate the full load that is required? Working for a utility design and installation company Charlotte initially specialised in coordinating communications with DNO, IDNO’s, IGT’s and councils for the installation and adoption of new assets.

Luke has a number of years’ experience in supporting and advising clients on the best engineering solutions to provide connections to their developments. Luke is experienced in handling large strategic tenders as well as supporting small developers.

Steve joined the ICP in 2018, having previously been employed by a leading ICP as client development manager He has establish long term working relationships within housing developers and construction companies.

Julie has worked in the electricity industry since before privatisation in 1987 and been involved in the dramatic changes this has involved to the electricity supply and connections market.
